Transitional Kitchen Nook Remodel – Styled for Spring

Hi everyone! Thank you all so much for stopping by my kitchen reveal last week! You’re kind comments here and on Instagram made it the best week! Today I’m so excited to be sharing the other half of that room, our transitional kitchen nook remodel, styled for spring. I’ve also joined my best blogging friends who will be sharing spaces in their homes spruced up for spring.

If you are stopping in from my sweet friend Kelley of Kelley Nan, welcome! We both share the same love of a good table scape and everything that makes daily living more fabulous!

We didn’t change a whole lot in our kitchen nook during our remodel. But the few changes we did make, make this room feel SO much different! Proof that you don’t have to make massive changes to a space to give it a refresh! Take a look at the before and after!

Our furniture all stayed the same. We simply switched out this light for this one. You can order it by calling Lighting Design Company. They are so great to work with! I got my kitchen lighting there as well.

We kept the paint colors the same {details on paint colors and all other sources can be found here}. The flooring was tile. A tile that I was a little less than fond of! We chose it when we built our home 10 years ago. We knew we would replace it one day! It was swapped out for wood. I wish we could have made the switch years ago, because the difference is unbelievable! Our cabinets were dark and I knew that dark floors and dark cabinets would be awful. So, I tried to wait patiently until we could redo the kitchen including the nook. Sometimes waiting for what you really want instead of trying to make a quick fix, is the harder but better choice!

Coconut cake is an Easter must at our home. I shared my favorite recipe here. It is AMAZING!!! Time has slipped away from me this season with all of the craziness of the remodel. Instead of making one from scratch, I purchased one from my local grocer! Then dressed her up with a few blush spray roses! If you are entertaining and don’t have time to whip a fancy dessert up, try this simple trick.

The rooms feel so much more open and bright! The kitchen flows into the great room seamlessly. I wish you could all come over and help me celebrate this long awaited transformation! Thank you for joining me here! I hope you will come back often and leave your comments. It’s so fun to get to know you all a little better.

Now hop over to my amazingly talented friend Bree of Z Design at Home’s blog for more spring decor tips. She is such an amazing designer you will love her! Below you will find a full list of participants.
