  1. I love what you do and the finished look your home has, I feel like I’m “working” on mine constantly. Are there any affordable alternatives to your decor? I don’t think my husband would be down on spending 500+ dollars for a light, 200 dollars for picture frames or 1000 for a side table.

    1. Hi Shannell! Thank you for your sweet comment! Decorating a home is a constant work in progress! You just have to look at it that way and not become discouraged! Your taste and budget will change over time! As far as affordable options, you can swap out any of the pieces I use for pieces that fit your budget. Something I’ve done over the years is focus on one piece at a time. If it is a piece I know I will be keeping for years {like a light fixture}, I will spend a little more. If it is an item I plan to replace when styles change, I spend less. I’ll try to link more affordable options in my posts this next year. Wishing you a Happy New Year! xo

  2. I follow a lot of blogs, I have done so for years. Your home is the most beautifully designed and decorated home I have ever seen. I look at your photos over and over and have saved many of the pictures to my Pinterest board.

    1. Wow Patrice, what a lovely comment! I am so happy that you love everything so much! Thank you so much for telling me! Wishing you the happiest New Year! xoxo

  4. I really enjoyed this recap, Randi. Your home is gorgeous, your taste exquisite and your creativity astonishing.. Watching how you transformed your home over the past year has been so inspiring. I have learned a lot about decorating, entertaining and family-centric homemaking from you. You clearly invested a lot of time and hard work to produce beautiful and interesting social media content for your followers. Thank you for a year of dazzling and informative blog posts and IG photos and stories. I’m so glad I found you! Best wishes for 2018!

  5. That was a busy year with renovating and refreshing four rooms. I love your home. It is elegant and feminine, without being frilly. With all the white, mirror, lucite and gold, it feels fresh. Looking forward to new projects and purchases in 2018.
Do you think a sheepskin would look ok over wall to wall carpet? I have hardwood throughout but the bedrooms are carpeted for warmth underfoot during the cold, winter months.

    1. It was a crazy year! Thank you so much for following along! As far as the sheepskin, I wouldn’t add it wall to wall. It tends to “collect” things and get matted down. If you weren’t able to give it a good shake it would get pretty yucky. I am a fan of a good sheepskin rug for a pop of fun and softness though! I hope that helps! xoxo

  6. Hi Randi!
I can’t begin to tell you what an inspiration you have been for me and my attempt at decorating our beach house! Your kitchen has won my heart, and was wondering how your gorgeous marble countertops are holding up with 5 precious children? I’m concerned about marble with sand, beach treasures being proudly displayed by children on them, and mostly red sauce and wine!

I hope you continue sharing your love of interior design, and how others can benefit from your expertise!!!!

    Gratefully, Marilyn

    1. Hi Marilyn! Thank you for your sweet comment! Our marble is holding up pretty well. It is definitely etching in places, which I knew would happen. I am not overly cautious with it, just try to wipe up as soon as spills happen. I will probably have it polished in a few years to get a fresh shine. We are loving it and I think you will too. The warmth of the stone is so much more inviting to me than other options. It was with the trade off of having to baby it a little. I hope that helps! Wishing you the best! xoxo
