Simply Christmas Home Tour – Winter Wonderland Bedroom

Hi! Welcome to a fun little tour celebrating Christmas –Simply Christmas Home Tour! Today a few of my friends and I are sharing peeks into our homes styled for Christmas. Earlier this week I shared most of our home styled for Christmas. If you missed it, you can see it here. Today, I am sharing our Winter Wonderland Bedroom! If you are coming from Jennifer, Dimples and Tangles beautiful blog, thank you for stopping by! If you are an old friend thank you for coming back!!!
Last year our room was mostly white and taupe. You can see the tour here. This year, I went with a winter wonderland feel. What exactly is that? Well, it is a lot of white mixed with touches of gray and gold.

Here is last year’s room…

Here is this year’s…

Winter Wonderland Bedroom

I started with white lace sheets, topped with a gorgeous gray velvet bedspread from Pom Pom at Home. Since the room is pretty neutral, adding texture creates interest for the lack of color. So, I chose shams with some textured personality! Three white ruffled euros in the back and two king sized ruffle shams in the middle. One ruffled pillow in the front for another textured pop! There are two gray velvet euros to bring some color to the mix.
To cozy up this winter wonderland bed, I added an oversized white fluffy throw and this gray ultra soft throwTry hanging a few green garlands to your headboard. Finish off the look with some ornaments or small wreath. Mix in some fresh flowers.
This was an inexpensive, wreath dressed up with a few ornaments. You don’t have to use a full garland to decorate either. Here, I just used a few fir picks, tucked them here and there to create a garland effect. Nestling in a few pretty ornaments also elevates the look.
Sprinkle a few silver and gold ornaments to cheer up your nightstand. I also added my favorite heart stands {from here and here}.
What would a Winter Wonderland be without a tree?

I used all of my gray, white and gold ornaments on this tree with a few white poinsettias. Some green picks and velvet ribbon complete the look. I’ll be sharing a tutorial on how to decorate your tree tomorrow! Including tips on how to save time and money on ribbon!
