There’s something so special about gathering family and friends around the table during the summer months, especially when celebrating the freedoms and blessings we enjoy. While patriotic decor can sometimes feel bold or themed, I love creating a look that feels timeless, elegant, and welcoming while still embracing the red, white, and blue.
For this table, I started with a soft blue cane patterned tablecloth I designed for my collaboration with Cailini Coastal. It provides a beautiful foundation without competing with the patriotic accents. The light blue tones feel fresh and classic, while also tying into the blue-and-white color palette I love to use throughout our home.
To bring in texture and warmth, I layered woven rattan placemats with simple white beaded dinnerware. Natural materials help balance the brighter red accents and keep the table feeling relaxed and inviting.
The star of the table is the centerpiece—a woven planter filled with American flags. It’s an easy, affordable idea that creates instant impact while celebrating the holiday in a meaningful way. The flags add height, color, and movement without requiring fresh flowers or complicated arrangements.
Bright red bandanas tied around ivory flatware add the perfect patriotic touch. I love how they bring a casual, nostalgic feeling to the table while still looking polished alongside the classic place settings andglassware.
Surrounded by climbing vines, white wicker dining chairs, and blue-and-white ginger jars displayed on the outdoor fireplace mantel, the entire space feels like a charming garden retreat. The soft blues, natural textures, and classic Americana details create a look that feels festive without being overdone.
