A Chinoiserie Christmas Welcome: Our Festive Entryway
This year, our entryway is dressed in a chinoiserie-inspired Christmas theme—filled with beautiful blues, rich textures, and timeless holiday greenery. It’s the perfect blend of classic elegance and festive cheer, and I’m so excited to take you on a little tour!

Staircase Magic: Layered Garlands Full of Texture
One of the first things you’ll notice when you step inside is the staircase wrapped in lush, layered garlands. We started with a base of a flocked pine garland, then built it out with brushed gold magnolia garland for a soft, warm shimmer.
To bring in that signature chinoiserie color palette, I added magnolia florals, blue florals, blue eucalyptus stems, berries, eucalyptus picks, and even curly willow branches for that beautiful, whimsical movement. We used 2-3 of each picks per swag section.
The final touch? Blue double-faced satin bows tied along the banister swags—crisp, classic, and perfectly suited for a blue-and-white Christmas moment.

Just across from the stairs stands our chinoiserie-inspired Christmas tree (mine is the 7.5′ tree, it is stunning), perched proudly in a chinoiserie pot that works beautifully as its base. It ties the whole look together instantly!
The tree is adorned with the same picks used in the stair garland—magnolia, blue florals, eucalyptus (similar), berries, and curly willow—creating a cohesive and enchanting look. Blue and white ornaments add that classic chinoiserie feel while filling the branches with elegance and sparkle.

Our entry table is styled with a flowing magnolia garland mixed with berries to bring in natural texture and holiday warmth. Crystal candlesticks add height and sparkle, and they sit alongside ginger jar lamps and white ginger jars—a chinoiserie lover’s dream!
To bring softness and comfort to the entryway, we added a mix of pretty throw pillows. Floral pillows in blue and white pair so beautifully with velvet Greek key pillows—rich, plush, and full of that timeless, tailored look. Together they add color, dimension, and a welcoming place to sit and slip off your shoes.
Grounding the whole space is a beautiful blue rug that pulls together the palette and gives the entryway that cozy, finished feel.

Even the windows get their own festive moment with magnolia wreaths hung from blue double-faced satin ribbon. It’s a simple touch that adds so much charm and continuity to the entire space. The blue bows tie everything together—from the staircase to the tree to the wreaths—creating a seamless chinoiserie Christmas look.

Wreaths + Ribbon
This entryway has become one of my favorite spots in the house this season. The mix of greenery, blue-and-white details, and elegant holiday touches creates such a warm and welcoming moment for anyone who walks through our door. I hope it inspires you as you bring the magic of Christmas into your own home!
