Welcome to our Dusty Blue Chinoiserie Christmas Family Room! I hope you feel the love that was poured into styling this room and come away inspired to bring some Christmas magic into your own home. For the past several years, my mom and dad have come to help me set up my Christmas decor. It is such a special time with them. I love and appreciate their help and treasure the memories with them! Their gift to me really helps me keep the focus of the Christmas season in my heart. God gave us the most incredible gift. Giving and loving like He and His son are the best gift we can give them in return.
Enjoy our Christmas Family Room Tour! Thank you for being here!

Whimsical Magnolia Christmas Mantel
I had so much fun putting together this Whimsical Magnolia Christmas Mantel! It looks like a million bucks, but was very easy to put together! I am sharing how you can recreate it at your house this Christmas! Use the exact picks I used, or follow the steps and use which ever picks that fit your personal style.
I wanted my mantel to feel whimsical and earthy. To create this look and feel, I only used Christmas picks, no ornaments or ribbon. The result is breathtaking! It is my favorite mantel ever!
Here is was I did and what I used!
- Use 2 of these 9 foot garlands.
- Lay them side by side, zip tie them together in a few spots then hung them on your mantel using these hooks.
- Attach your hook to the top of your mantel so that the hook is pointing towards your wall.
- Let cure for at least an hour.
- Attach your garland by sliding it over the hook. Gently shove a center of the garland into the hook to secure.
- Next add the picks! I used 6-8 of each of the picks linked below.
- Add one type of pick at a time.
- Gently tuck them into the garland. Add them in different directions. Evenly spacing them on the garland.
Misty Blue Throw Pillows
To add some whimsy to the furniture, I used these misty blue throw pillows in various shades, patterns and fabrics. They are exquisite! Each pillow measures 22″ with a 24″ insert. The smaller throw pillows are called little lumbars and have a 2″ larger insert.
Whimsical Accessoires and Decor
Add a few whimsical accessories to your end tables, coffee tables and consoles to sprinkle Christmas magic around your family room. I love using decor pieces that I keep out year round and dress them up with a bow, ornament or something Christmasy. A stunning rug will also help ground your room and give it a fun pop! We LOVE this rug!
