Entryway Refresh: Elegant Updates with Timeless Charm
We recently gave our entryway a little refresh, and I’m loving how these thoughtful touches breathe new life into the space while staying true to our home’s signature mix of clean lines, traditional elegance, and French-inspired charm. It is so easy to give your space a fresh look simply by adding a new rug and a few new accessories!
Rugs make a huge impact in a space
The biggest transformation came from the new blue hand-knotted rug (9×12)—a stunning anchor for our grand two-story entry. It adds the perfect dose of warmth and color, and I’ve linked several similar options for you if you’re looking to recreate the look.

Mix old and new for a beautiful, curated look
On our gold, marble-topped entry table (similar), I swapped in a pair of blue and white ginger jar-style lamps that tie in beautifully with the rug and other accents. The soft glow sets the tone for a welcoming, curated space. A French reproduction mirror is one of my favorite details in this space. Gold-framed intaglios flanking the mirror, bring in a touch of classical charm. They are created by an artist in San Fransisco and are absolutely stunning.
Our french style armchairs add more weight to this wall, with playful blue and white buffalo check cushion with green butterfly flange trim and gorgeous floral lumbars.
To finish it off, I styled the table with ginger jars, the best faux hydrangeas, and crystal candlesticks for a mix of elegance and everyday beauty.
