I am so excited to announce that you can now buy Randi Garrett Design fabric! Designing fabric has been a life long dream of mine. It took a little push from a sister to finally make that dream come true.
So many times when I am designing something, I will say, “I know exactly what I am looking for, but I can’t find it anywhere.” This fabric is the result of a vision for an elegant and whimsical Valentine’s table. A departure from the traditional red and white color scheme.
I’ve been having fun creating goodies with these fabrics for Valentine’s Day. I’d love it if you would check out the fabric here and give me your feedback.
Over the next few posts, I’m going to show you what I’ve made using these fabrics.
First up is this pink and gold Valentine’s Day table showcasing the Jumbo Heart fabric from the Valentine’s Day collection. This fabric has 5 inch, jumbo gold hearts set in a staggered pattern. They seem to glisten on the modern jersey fabric it is printed on.
One of the great features of the site you purchase this fabric from is you can select which type of fabric you would like to have the pattern printed on. This modern jersey fabric, is a lightweight jersey that doesn’t wrinkle and drapes very well. It’s perfect for a tablecloth.
This print would also be darling for drapes or pillows. Oh the possibilities!
Here are all of the details for the table….
Starting with the tablecloth.
I used 3 yards of the Jumbo Heart fabric for the table cloth.
The best thing about this fabric is I just threw it on the table, no sewing, no ironing…. NOTHING! If the edges really bother you, you can absolutely finish the edges by tucking them under and sewing along the edge. It just wasn’t noticeable to me.
{I added angel wings to the head chairs because they remind me of Cupid}
Place Setting Details…
- 3 yards Jumbo Heart Fabric {printed on modern jersey fabric}
- Giant Doily
- Gold Charger
- Pink Dinner Plate
- Cream Salad Plate
- Gold Foil Heart Dessert Plate
- Gold Heart Doily {Target}
- XO Nametag {I just typed an XO on my computer on pale pink paper and cut into a banner shape}
- Pink Linen Ruffle Napkin
I like to make the head settings a little different, just for a special detail.
For this table I used my crown plates for the dinner plate instead of the pink one set with the other settings.
If you ever find a few plates that you love, but there isn’t a full set, snatch them up anyways! You can mix your plates! It’s perfectly fine!!!
Giant mason jars spray painted gold, then spray painted with gold glitter spray paint, match the hearts from the tablecloth, serve as an impressive vase. Pink roses mixed with white hydrangeas mimic the ruffles from the napkins.
I cut out mini x’s and o’s from glitter paper and hot glued them to string for a whimsical banner.
Mini votives were filled into the center of the table to create a magical glow at night.
Have fun creating something fun with this fabric! I’d love to see what you do with it!
Happy Love Day!!!!

Such a pretty table! I agree, I think your Golden Hearts would be wonderful as Drapery Panels…maybe in a Nursery 🙂
Thank you Ann! Love working with you! xoxo
Absolutely gorgeous, Randi! You inspire me!!!
Your table is perfect! I love how soft and charming it is! Can you please tell me how you “cut the letters” out? Did you use a punch and, if so, which brand? Thank you for shaing your creativity and for the beautiful inspiration.
Hi Jane! I used my silhouette machine to cut the letters. I used the font “Big Top”. I hope that helps! Thanks for your sweets comment! xoxo
Hi randi, can you please share who makes your flatware and where you got it? I love the table scape!
Hi Lauren! The flatware is from Horchow. They have sales all of the time, watch for them to be marked down! I hope you get to get some, I love mine and use it all of the time! xo
