Easter has always been one of my favorite holidays. The world is in bloom reminding us of the rebirth of our Savior and the hope He gives each of us. Easter was also a time that we gathered with our family and extended family for a delicious dinner around a beautiful table. Eating at a table set with lovely details seemed to make the dinner feel important. Those dinners are some of my favorite childhood memories. We would sit around the table for hours talking, laughing and telling stories. It’s around those tables, I learned about my parent’s and grandparent’s childhoods and where I gained a deep appreciation for family tradition. When I set a table for a holiday or special occasion, it is much more than a pretty place for us to gather and eat, it is a place where memories are made, lesson’s are taught and bonds are created.
For our Easter table this year, I wanted to keep everything white and focus on the symbols of Easter. So many of the Easter symbols are white, eggs, bunnies, lambs, fresh Spring bulbs, and the perfect, resurrected Savior.
We always have family over for Easter, so I set an adult/teenage table and children’s table. This table is most definitely the adult table! My kiddos are pretty clean but I wouldn’t trust them on this sea of white. I’ll share the kid’s table in a separate post.
For now, here’s our white Easter tablescape…
The white floral centerpiece looks complicated, but was so easy to put together! I just purchased a wet floral foam (a foam that soaks up water), to hold the flowers in place. You could simply put your flowers in a vase and they would be just fine. The vase I choose was too shallow to keep the flowers upright, so the foam kept my flowers in place and created a sense of drama.
To make this arrangement I used:
2 dozen white roses
6 white baby hydrangeas
1 bunch of chamomile
1 bunch of wax flower
All found at my local grocery store.
I added the hydrangeas first, spacing them around the bowl, one on each side and one in the middle. Next I added the roses, filling them in between the hydrangeas. The chamomile and wax flower filled in the gaps. It took me about 15 minutes to create. I couldn’t believe how easy it was to make, give it a try!
I used this vase because of the laurel wreath, bird and crown symbol. A perfect, subtle reminder of Easter.
For another, easier centerpiece option, you could use all white hydrangeas, or white roses arranged in a vase.
The white, ruffled, linen tablecloth gives the table a romantic feel. I had my favorite seamstress, Ann from La Fortune Linens custom make one for my table. She is amazing and can make just about anything you dream up.
The white ruffled napkins are linen napkins I picked up from Home Goods. I sewed a ruffled trim, from Hobby Lobby, around the edges. If you can sew in a straight line, you can totally do this!
A white, baby tulip is tucked into each napkin ring.
In the center of each place setting is a traditional egg cup filled with white flowers from Lowe’s. To create, pop out one square from those pony packs of flowers from the garden center and nestle it into the egg cup. It adds a fresh pop to each plate. You can use any flower you like. They make a lovely take home gift for guests too.

To fill in the empty spots on either side of the centerpiece, I added two vases from Pottery Barn. I found beautiful white ranunculus from Lowe’s, took them out of their plastic pots and added them straight inside the vase, I didn’t even add any extra potting soil, just plopped them in there.
I hope your Easter is filled with hope, love and memories that will last for years to come.
