A few months ago I attended a calligraphy class taught by a friend of mine, Jill. You can find her on Instagram here. Calligraphy is so much fun! It is surprisingly relaxing and makes you feel super fancy. Laying in bed one night with my mind racing, an idea came to me. What if Jill came to my house and taught calligraphy around Valentine’s Day? We could write love letters in pretty calligraphy. She graciously agreed! Today, I’m sharing the scoop on this super fun Love Letters Galentine’s Day Calligraphy party. I hope it inspires you to get a few friends together and either learn calligraphy or just have fun together! The ideas for this get-together could be used for any occasion!

Love Letters Galentine’s Day Calligraphy Party
To set the table, use 3 yards of my jumbo heart fabric {here}. Mine is printed on the modern jersey fabric. It doesn’t wrinkle and looks beautiful as a tablecloth. Next, use a blush sequin runner for the center of the table. For centerpieces use 2 dozen pink and hot pink roses in this bubble jar.
The party was in the morning so I served…
- Elegant fruit cups in a gold sugar rimmed coupe glass with a Vanilla Citrus Sauce {recipe and details here}
- Macarons {raspberry, coconut, rose and chocolate flavors}, sprinkled with some edible gold glitter {here} and some edible flowers {here}
- Eclairs topped with more edible glitter and edible flowers for decoration
- Pretty nonalcoholic drinks – Sparkling Ruby Red Grapefruit {recipe and details here} and Pomegranate Mimosas {recipe and details here}
- Flavored water – Sliced ruby red grapefruit, sliced oranges, strawberries, and edible flowers
- Little heart shaped chocolates from Trader Joe’s

What a beautiful idea for a party! Everything looks amazing. I too love to entertain and will be using some of your ideas! Thanks for brightening my day as I am enduring the flue and bronchitis….
Hi Kristin! Thank you so much for your sweet comment! I am so sorry you have been sick! Praying for a speedy recovery! xoxo
Randi,
My goal last year by Christmas was to learn calligraphy so I could write my Christmas cards. I was doing really well all the way to March and then just gave it up. I didn’t have a lot of “spare time.” to practice. If I took a class I think I would enjoy that more than trying to teach myself. Your pictures are so beautiful. I’m sure everyone had a great time.

Hi Jenn! Thank you so much for stopping by! What a lovely goal! Don’t give up!!! Practice is the key! xoxo
What a beautiful, beautiful party!! Oh how I wish I was invited!!😉😉 I will do my best to recreate your party with my girlfriends for next year….or maybe host a ‘welcome Spring’ party this year. Just lovely!
P.S. I just have to ask you Randi, where did you find that gorgeous pink blouse you wear on your cover photo (and I think in your party). I’ve been looking for a blouse like that but can’t find one anywhere!
Hi Brenda! Thank you so much for your sweet comment! A welcome spring party sounds amazing! The pink top was from Forever 21 a few years ago. It’s an oldie but a goodie! I still wear it! Sorry I don’t have a source for you! xo
I see these gorgeous posts and I think…why do I not live by you anymore?! This party is over the top perfect, Ran! I love it! I bet these women had so much fun! Such a clever idea…not to mention your food and drinks look UH-mazing!! XO
Why don’t you?!!! We miss you terribly and think of you often! Thank you so much for stopping by my sweet long distance friend! xoxo
Just entertained my office group for a welcome to the group. Used some of your ideas for the drinks and the fruit. I chose to use the theme of St. Patty’s Day, decked out on lots of green. The party was a hit and wanted to thank you for making me think a bit outside the box.
Enjoy all you’re posts, such great ideas!!!1 Thanks for all your time and effort!!!!
Hi Vi! Thank you so much for telling me! That just makes me so happy! Wishing you the loveliest of days! xoxo
