Custom Stair Runner Reveal

Since moving into our home almost two years ago, we have wanted to add a custom stair runner our stairs. Stair runners add a layer of warmth, charm and personality to your home. Our stairs are really hard to see one step from the next when descending. For safety, we wanted to add a runner to help decipher one step from the next.

There are so many gorgeous carpets available to choose from. You can find something that fits your personal style and really adds a special touch to your home. Visit any local carpet shop and they can help you find one that is right for your home. We chose a bunch of samples, took them home so we could see what they looked like in our space. We narrowed down the samples  to a few of our favorites and had you help us vote on which one to use. The overwhelming favorite was our favorite, Stargazer from Stanton. It is whimsical and fun, soft and durable. Everything we wanted in a stair runner. We also used gold satin finish stair rods (similar here) on each step to add even more character. 

I will be honest, I was really nervous about how it would turn out, but you guys the result surpassed my expectations! The stairs are completely transformed! The space feels so much homier and finished! Take a look at our custom stair runner reveal!

We also had them make us a runner for the hallway adjacent to the stairs. You can do this with any carpet!
