Hi everyone! Welcome to our Fall Decor Tips Home Tour! If you are joining me from Annie Zevy Joy’s home, welcome to my home! Today Annie and I have joined with a few friends to bring you some fall decor tips to help you dress your home for fall.
Welcoming a new season never gets old! In fact I look forward to changing seasons so much, I lay in bed at night scheming ideas for the approaching season. Most of us keep our furniture for years. Changing seasons allows you to give your home a new look without buying furniture or expensive pieces. It also creates an opportunity to be creative! Being creative and warming up your home
Whether you add a festive wreath or a basket filled with fall foliage, spruce your front door up to give it a cozy fall feel. Here is a sneak peek at my front door this year. I will be dishing out all the details on this look next week.
Last year, I went with an untraditional fall look {see more here}. Instead of changing fall leaves or fall flowers, I filled a wooden basket with fall leafy greens. You could fill a basket with countless options to get a new look every year, or every season!
Try dressing your fireplace mantel with some fresh or faux pumpkins mixed with some fresh and or faux foliage. I’ve used lots of combinations of fresh and faux to create a fall display. Fresh pumpkins can last quite awhile.
If you are planning on keeping your vignette up for an extended period of time, you may consider using faux. At our house I decorate for fall at the beginning of September, take everything down and decorate for Halloween. Then redecorate for Thanksgiving. So I use a lot of fresh pumpkins and flowers. Do whatever works best for your home!
Here are a few examples of of mantel scales using a combination of fresh and faux fall decor…
Set a fall tablescape early in the season and leave it up to enjoy for a few weeks! This is one of my favorite ways to decorate during the holiday season. Pull out those pretty dishes and linens and create a beautiful center piece. I guarantee you will smile every time you walk past it!
Here are a few past tables I set for the fall…
