Home Decor Ideas for January

I hope you each had a lovely Christmas and Happy New Year! Once all of our Christmas decor is tucked away, our homes feel a little sad and empty. Here are a few of my favorite ways to style your home in January. These home decor ideas for January are simple and will help your home feel more cozy and styled until the next season. Enjoy!

Candles

Candles add light and warmth and light to any room, warming up our dreary post Christmas homes. Use candlesticks, candle vignettes or single candles to warm up your home. I used crystal candlesticks and battery operated candles in our entry to warm it up.

These crystal candle holders in our sitting room, really dress up any candle (I used battery operated candles) and give them a wintery feeling with the crystal that is reminiscent of wintery crystals.

In the kitchen, I used my favorite 5 wick candle and these stunning orb votive holders. They are pure magic!

Beautiful, cozy layers of linens really give your bedroom all the warmth and comfort you crave in January. I’ll link my favorite winter quilts I use on our bed below. They are luxurious and warm. The one at the end of the bed, I use year round.

Accessories

Use crystal and lucite accessories to give your home a wintery, magical feeling. Crystal and lucite are big design trends right now. They are also timeless elements that you can use forever in your home. Crystal candlesticks, room diffusers, trays and crystal orbs sprinkled throughout your home will allow natural light to dance around your rooms creating a whimsical effect. They also remind me of beautiful snowy, winter icicles.

Florals always brighten your home. White hydrangeas are my favorite flower to style with in January. Tuck the leaves into your vessel so you only see the stunning white blossoms. They look like gorgeous snow flowers. Arrange them in your favorite white ginger jars.

Room diffusers make your home smell amazing! Try placing one in every room! You will be amazed at how they transform the feel of your home. I love these crystal diffusers! You can also use your favorite crystal vase as a vessel for your favorite scented diffuser oil. This crystal vase is one of my favs.
