These little pots of chocolate magic are quite possibly my favorite dessert of all time! They are so decadent and delicious! If you’ve never had a pot de creme, they are a rich, dense, and smooth French custard dessert made from heavy cream, egg yolks, sugar, and flavorings like chocolate or vanilla, traditionally served in small porcelain pots or ramekins.

Serve them anytime of year! I especially love them around Valentine’s Day in heart shaped ramekins. You can also experiment with the extracts. Vanilla extract is fabulous but so are raspberry and orange extracts.
