Styling a Dusty Blue Chinoiserie Christmas Tree

Today I am SO excited to share my first Christmas post of 2024! This year, I set up 4 big trees and 2 tabletop trees with my mom!  We had so much fun styling these together! Each one has a unique style and special flare. Today, I am sharing our family room tree, a beautiful Dusty Blue Chinoiserie Christmas Tree! Here is a peek at my tree and some tips on how you can recreate it at your home!

If you need a guide to how many ornaments, pick and ribbon to buy for your tree, check out my guide here CHRISTMAS TREE CAPSULE.

1. The Foundation: A Flocked Freshly Fallen Snow Tree

Start with a high-quality flocked tree, mine is called Freshly Fallen Snow. It is 4 years old, and still looks amazing! It is so quick and easy to set up. I love that it isn’t messy and that it has a timer and remote. The soft, snowy flocking adds a touch of whimsy, creating a magical backdrop for your decorations. Under the tree, I added a luxurious faux fur tree skirt. It is stunning.

2. Furry Touches: Fur Ribbon

The very first thing I add to this tree every year is this beautiful fur ribbon, tucked into the branches. This gives the tree the most magical, snowy feeling. I use 360″ of ribbon.  Drape it around the tree in a cascading manner.

3. Gorgeous Picks

Next I add my picks! This tree features stunning Champagne Leaves, Silvery Eucalyptus Stems, Glittery Twigs, Silvery Berries, White Velvety Leaves and White and Gold Anemone. They dazzle the tree from top to bottom! I use about 10-12 of each style. More of the florals to really make them a focal point.

4. Elegant Ornaments: Ginger Jars, Chinoiserie, Solid and Textured

Up next, ornaments! I add my largest ornaments first, then medium and finally the smallest ones. Nestle the biggest ones farther into the tree and pull the smaller ones to the tips of the branches. I use these gold ornament hooks for all of my ornaments. They really grip the branches nicely.

Try adding bows to the tops of your larger ornaments. This adds such a layer of charm to your tree. I used these stunning white ornaments this year with this beautiful blue velvet ribbon.

4. Tufts of Ribbon

Finally adding gorgeous tufts of ribbon to your tree will give it the perfect finishing touch! It is so simple to do this! Just cut your ribbon into 8-10 inch strips. Next, fold in half and cinch the middle together. Tuck into the tree where ever you have a gap. I added 2 different types of ribbon to my tree this year. Dusty blue velvet ribbon and this gorgeous misty colored ribbon. (my exact ribbon is sold out, but this one I also have and is very similar).
