Entertaining is one of the best things about the holiday season! To help y0u host in style, I am sharing some of my hosting essentials! Every year I throw either a cookie exchange party or a favorite’s party. You can see more of those parties here and here. Both are fun, super easy parties to throw because I already have most of the essentials on hand.
This year, I am hosting a small favorite’s party with some girlfriends. Stayed tuned next week for all the details! In the meantime, here are some of my must have pieces to help you through a fabulous, yet simple party for your friends and family.

Tablecloths
All good table start with a beautiful table cloth! This year I am using a white sequin tablecloth to add some glittering magic to my party. Here are a few of my other favorite tablecloths.
Dessert Plates
Dessert plates can be used for desserts, salads, appetizers and are so versatile!
Flatware
Invest in a few nice sets of flatware and you will not every be disappointed you did! I recommend getting a set of gold flatware and a set of silver flatware. You can absolutely mix the two!
Serving Trays
Don’t ask me how many serving trays and platters I have! It’s embarrassing! I use them and will continue to use them though! Start a collection and you will be so glad you did!
Votives + Candles
Pretty little votives add so much magic to any party! Don’t just use them as candle holders, use them as bud vases too! Candles not only add magical lighting, they make your home smell amazing!
Cake Stands
Cake stands are another really versatile essential you will use over and over! These gold mosaic cake stands are fabulous!
Drink Dispensers
Serve your drinks in fancy or unique dispensers! This takes your hosting to the next level! I love to use pretty chafing dishes to serve hot cider and large canisters to serve flavored waters.
Embellishments
These are the little magical touches that really send your party into the extra special mode! I love using edible glitter sprinkled on the food I serve. Gold is my favorite! Use it to add a subtle sparkle to anything! Try sprinkling she on your flowers, cakes, chocolates, cookies, pretty much anything you want to sparkle!
This year for another embellishment, I used these gold and white floral ornaments to accent my table and food. In past years I’ve used jingle bells or fresh floral. Be creative and think outside the box!
Go throw a fabulous party with your hosting essentials!

Thank you so much! I know! I didn’t either! Where have we been?!!!! Merry Christmas! xo
Well hello Home Depot, lol!! Looks amazing as always. Especially loved the white sequin tablecloth, looks so elegant and the price isn’t bad at all! If I just saw the pictures on Amazon, I wouldn’t have thought the quality was that great, but your pictures make it look very elegant!
I know! Who knew The Home Depot had so many beautiful things?!!! Thank you for your sweet comment! Wishing you a Merry Christmas! xo
Love your ideas. Beautiful plates and serve ware. One small suggestion: no paper cups. This is the time to use real china and crystal. Everything else looks wonderful.
Thanks Wanda! I used hot chocolate cups because I served hot cider and wanted guest to be able to carry drinks around without worry. Merry Christmas! xo
