Elegant Gold Christmas Table Scape

It seems we sit longer around the Christmas dinner table than we do around the Christmas tree on Christmas morning! Or maybe it just seems that way! No one is in a hurry to get the dishes done on Christmas Day. There is a sense of lingering longer around the table with family and friends. It is a magical day, so it deserves a magical table! A beautifully decorated table is one of the sweetest gifts you can give your loved ones. With a little planning and some creativity, you can create a spot where glorious family memories can be made. This year, I used mostly pieces I already had in our home to create this elegant gold Christmas table scape.

Look through your cupboards and get creative with what you have! You may just surprise yourself with what you can come up with! If you would like to recreate my look, I have included sources at the bottom of the post for you {this post contains affiliate links – read my full disclosure here}.

Elegant Gold Christmas Table Scape

Elegant Gold Christmas Table Scape Elegant Gold Christmas Table Scape Elegant Gold Christmas Table ScapeMy table starts with a gold polka dot table cloth layered with a lace table topper I found on a shopping trip with my Mother in Law. To get a similar look you can use a white table cloth with a piece of lace placed on top.

Use a collection of mercury glass Christmas trees for a super simple, yet elegant table centerpiece! If you don’t have very many, you can mix in some candlesticks, or vases filled with flowers. I tucked in a few gold bottle brush trees into mine as well. Next add a few garlands to soften the look. Mine are gold from Micheal’s. You can use green ones, or whatever you have.

To finish the look, add a few gold, silver and or white votives. Candle light is the key to a magical dinner! And you want magic at Christmas!!! The candle light flickers against the mercury glass making it even more special!

For the place setting, start with a gold charger. Mine are no longer carried! I am so sorry! They are my absolute favorite but, any gold charger will create a similar look. Then use a gold rimmed plate, topped with a monogrammed plate. If you don’t have these, just use white ones {or buy some for yourself as a Christmas gift, you will not be sorry you did}!!!!

The white pom pom napkins {here}are another of my favorite pieces. I tied a gold heart ornament on mine for a napkin ring.
You may notice a few new pieces in this room! I’ve been working on updating our dining room, which has been the same for almost 10 years! Next month I will be sharing all the details in a full reveal! A little hot chocolate station set up on our bar cart brightens up the corner.
