I start dreaming and scheming my holiday tables months in advance, because I love it so much! They make me so excited to entertain for the holidays! Usually, I look for inspiration on Pinterest. I find a picture that inspires me, then tweak it to make it into something that fits my vision. There is a certain joy that comes from setting a pretty table. It is a form of artistry in my mind. You are setting the scene for special memories to be made.
Tablescaping is almost like designing a room. The best part is you can recreate a new one everyday if you want!
This year, I found a beautiful picture with fresh pomegranates and greenery. I used this as my inspiration. Typically I think of pumpkins, colored leaves, acorns and pinecones for Thanksgiving. But, I wanted to do something different! My friend Daria from Hot Skwash makes the most stunning velvet pomegranates. She designed a few for me in shades of pink adorned with glamorous rhinestones to feature on my table. Visit her website to get some for your house!
The pomegranates are the star of the table with their luxurious velvet, sparkling rhinestone, 24k gold top details. To give the pomegranates a spectacular landing spot, I added clippings from my neighbor’s tree and a few bundles of flowers to create a fresh floral garland down the center of the table. Pink, gold rimmed plates and touches of gold make this an elegant Thanksgiving table!

Elegant Pink and Gold Thanksgiving Table
What you need to get the look
Pink Velvet Pomegranates | Gold Scalloped Tablecloth | Gold Beaded Chargers | Gold Banded Dinner Plates | Pink Dessert Plates | Gold Flatware | Pink Pom Pom Napkins | Gold Rimmed Goblets | Gold Votives
I set this table in the morning. By the late afternoon the flowers still looked fresh and amazing. You can set this table for Thanksgiving and not worry about your flowers wilting and looking sad before the big meal! That night, I took the flowers off the table and placed them in a vase. They all lasted for another week!
Here are the flowers I used to set my elegant pink and gold Thanksgiving Table…
- Hot Skwash Velvet Pomegranates or fresh pomegranates
- Tree Clippings from my neighbors Sioux tree. You could also use fresh or faux eucalyptus.
- 1 Bunch of Burgundy Carnations
- 1 Bunch of Bubbly Roses – or pink garden roses
- 1 Bunch White and Pink Charmelia
- 1 Bunch Hypericum – Red Berries
- 1 Bunch Raspberry colored Alstroemeria
You could absolutely use faux flowers too! Here are some of my favorites to recreate the look…
Gold Hurricane {mine is sold out this is a similar one}
Silk Drapery { I made mine, these are similar }
