Ellie’s Teen Bedroom Refresh

Ellie and I had so much fun giving her bedroom a little refresh for her bedroom reveal coming in the next few weeks! We had fun mixing patterns and selecting bedding with charming details to give her teen bedroom a fresh feel. Ballard Design has the most gorgeous pieces to help you give your bedroom a quick refresh! Their wide variety of styles and on trend pieces, help you decorate your whole home with style and ease. You are going to love their bedding selection! Ellie and I chose a few of their fun prints for her bedroom. It was so easy to give it a fresh new look with just a few pieces. Here’s a sneak peek at her room and the beautiful pieces we found at Ballard Designs. Her full room reveal is coming soon!

One of my favorite bedding tricks is to use a duvet EMPTY! Warm weather months really don’t need a warm insert, so skip it! Save your down insert for the cold months. I absolutely love Ballard Designs Emma Scalloped Duvet. We chose the Spa color, which is a beautiful soft, greenish blue. The duvet is a gorgeous, thick quality fabric with a scalloped piping around every side. Fold the top over like you would a top sheet to show off the cute scalloped detail.

Can you even handle the cuteness of the Audree Pom Pom Quilt?! The pom pom trim detail is darling and the quality of this quilt is fabulous! The reverse side is cream so you can use it multiple ways. It comes in 5 beautiful colors.

Another trick I like to use when refreshing a bedroom, is to use larger pillows on your bed. I love using Euro sized pillows. They really make a statement! My favorite combo is to use 3 pillows across the back (on a queen and king sized bed), 2 in the middle and 1 in the front. Ballard Designs has so many pretty, Euro pillows to choose from. We used 3 of the Emma Scalloped Sham, 2 of the Thandie Watercolor Shams in Cornflower and 1 of the Jardin Toile Shams in Spa. Use this Euro insert

We also added this cute jewelry cabinet (Yves Tall Wood Jewelry Cabinet). Not only is it so charming, it holds a ton of jewelry and accessories! The drawers have built in dividers to help organize your pieces too.

  1. Hello! You both did a beautiful job on the bedroom. Where did you get the beautiful wall prints behind the bed? Ballards sells two similar prints but that is not the same as what you used? Where do I purchase the prints without the red bird in them that Ballards sells?

  2. This is absolutely charming! I love every detail of Ellie’s room. You have such a talent of pulling different colors and patterns together to create such a warm inviting room!

    1. Hi Sally! Thank you! I will be sharing the furniture sources in the full room reveal next week. xoxo

  3. What a lovely room! Love the idea of an empty duvet for summer! Please, who manufactures the day bed?? Just love it and the way it’s made up!!

  4. I️ don’t see a link for those exact wall pictures. Can you please provide?
