Glam Transitional Guest Bathroom Reveal – with Marble Silver and Brass

Hi everyone! Today I am so excited to share a project I’ve been working on since February – our glam transitional guest bathroom reveal! So I think that this could be my all time favorite project. The marble, silver and brass accents mixed with creams and grays. Plus sparkling crystals and fresh white trim, make this little bathroom a gem!

The tour today is really a special peek into the room. Come back next week when I will be sharing more specific tips on how you can glam up your own bathroom.

I wanted this bathroom to feel like an extension of our newly remodeled kitchen. Notice how the bathroom is mostly white with pops of grays and creams, like kitchen. For a pop,  silver in a polished nickel finish were mixed with brass. Mixing metals warms up a room and gives it a transitional feel. Transitional is a style that mixes traditional and modern styles.

The same shaker style cabinetry, was used in this bathroom. Our cabinet installer added feet to the cabinet to make it feel like a piece of furniture.

A marble countertop was created from the same slabs used in the KITCHEN. I absolutely love this marble. It has a very white background with a shimmer. There are gray and light taupe veins streaming through the white. You can find it at Arizona Tile HERE. Notice the backsplash has an ogee edge that rounds down at the corners. Little details give your room a custom feel.

Another way we tied this glam transitional guest bathroom in with the rest of our house was with these polished nickel faucets and towel bars. They also add some sparkle to the room. Because we loved these faucets from the Delta Cassidy family, we decided to use them in the guest bathroom as well. Delta has the most beautiful, affordable fixture options.

The towels are a beautiful mix of grays and creams, just like in the marble and tile.

You see these crystal and brass handles ? Remember them from the kitchen? I am so in love with them so they made it into this  bathroom giving it that touch of glam! They are from one of my favorite places to shop for special details for my home, House of Antique Hardware.

So this marble tile just might be my favorite tile on earth! There are hues of gray, cream, gold, white and even one piece with a little pink! This basketweave pattern is a transitional tile. It takes the classic, traditional basketweave pattern and gives it a modern spin.

I wish you could  all come over and see how gorgeous it is in person! Since you can’t, you can run to your nearest Arizona Tile or visit their website and get some for yourself! Here is a link to my exact tile.

The door that used to lead to the tub and toilet is gone. In it’s place is a tall archway that frames the new stand up shower. As a result, the room feels twice as big. Another dramatic change, are the walls. In addition to painting them white, wood trim work was added to give the space some glam. Wood trim makes a room feel like it has been frosted with a luxurious coat of frosting! Also it adds interest to a neutral schemed room.

It’s amazing what a new toilet can do for a bathroom!!!!

We mixed beautiful 12 x24 inch porcelain marble tile  with real calcutta gold marble hexagon tile in the shower. Mixing marble and porcelain give the illusion of marble everywhere, without paying the high dollar signs!

All of our bathroom fixtures – shower head, shower handle and faucet are from Delta Faucet. They have so many beautiful and affordable options. Their polished nickel finish is my all time favorite!

Towels are such a great way to bring luxury into a bathroom. I’ll be talking more next week on why you should have a few sets of towel in your bathroom. In the mean time, I chose soft, luxurious towels for the guest bathroom that compliment the neutral color scheme. Grays, creams and beautiful a beautiful monogram dress up these towels.

You can shop the monogramed towel at Bella Lino Linens. In addition to gorgeous towels, they have bedding and table linens that are all drool worthy. I featured their monogramed napkins on my Mother’s Day table HERE.

Finally the jewels of the room, the lighting! The brass and crystal details create a glamorous, transitional element. The semi flush chandelier has dozens of triangular shaped crystals cascading down from the perfectly colored golden brass frame.

The sconces are simple and classy with a modern flair. You can call my friends at Light Design to order the chandelier and sconces for your home.

A special thanks to the wonderful companies who sponsored this bathroom:

  2. Your bathroom is absolutely stunning – I have looked at the pictures over and over. I have a question, I love the clear dispensers you purchased for the shower area. Went to container store and they didn’t suggest them for shampoo and conditioner. What has been your experience? Wanting to purchase some.
Thank you for your time. I love reading your blog.

    1. First of all thank you so much for your lovely comment! We do love them for shampoo and conditioner. The conditioner is a little thick and you have to unscrew the cap and stir it around every once in awhile. The clean, classy look way out ways that small task. Have a wonderful day! xo

  6. I Love, Love, Love this bathroom. Can you tell me what color paint is on the walls as well.

    1. Thank you Nancy! The paint color is Ralph Lauren’s Edwardian Linen, mixed by Dunn Edwards. Milk Mustache by Dunn Edwards is a really good match if you can’t find the RL. xo
