Chic Galentine’s Day Table for Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is traditionally a holiday for love birds, but when you stop and think about it, it’s really a celebration of those you love.

Children pass out special love notes to their classmates,  spouses exchange gifts and flowers, and women spoil their friends with a Galentine’s party {a Valentine’s Party for your girl friends} or at least that’s what I like to do!

This is Tip 3 in my series – “5 Tips for a Fabulous New Year “- Get together with friends {you can see tip 1 here and tip 2 here}.

People need people. When you connect with others and form bonds, you naturally become a happier person. Take time to gather with friends.  These friendships and memories will help you have a fabulous New Year!

Today I’m sharing a simple, chic Galentine table I set for some friends, that you can set to celebrate Valentine’s Day with your girls friends.  I like to host a party with my friends yearly. You can see last year’s party by clicking the photo below.

I’ve also teamed up with some of my dear friend’s to bring you tons of Valentine entertaining ideas in a series called Styled + Set Holiday Entertaining Blog Tour hosted by Lory from Designthusiasm. If you’ve come from Sand and Sisal, welcome! Kim is such a sweetheart! I love her blog and all of the clever ideas she shares. There is a full list of participants at the end of this post.

To set this table you will need a black and white striped tablecloth laid on the the diagonal. This simple trick will give a striped tablecloth new life.

The centerpieces are simple and vibrant red, hot pink and pale pink roses clipped to fit small mercury glass vases with a splash of greenery.

Pink ruffled napkins add a girly pop to the table.

Pink and gold is one of my favorite color combinations and I use it any chance I get. Pale pink plates stacked on top of gold chargers with gold flatware complete this girly place setting. I cut out gold glittered X’s and O’s for each setting. Pink and gold votives are also sprinkled around the table to soften the mood with some candle light. Candle light is one of my favorite ways to bring warmth to the table.

Try setting a chic Galentine table for Valentine’s Day this year for your friends. I loved having my girl friends over for a Galentine breakfast. The table was fancy, the food was not. I served mini store bought quiches, blueberry muffins from a box and fresh fruit! You don’t have to spend a ton of time making things perfect to have a fabulous time with good friends! Getting together with friend will help make this year more fabulous for you and them!

  2. Randi, your table is stunning. Like you, I love putting the effort in the table, making it “fancy” but relying on healthy, easy food to serve. I think anyone would feel well loved to be invited to sit at your table. I’m thrilled to be on the Valentine Entertaining Tour with you. Xo Lidy

  3. I just found your blog through Instagram, I am excited to start following. This is so beautiful! I am wondering a couple of things! 1. Where did you get the beautiful light above your dining room table? 2. Where did you get the plate that is white with the gold along the edge? Maybe I didn’t look clearly, but I didn’t see a link to those. Can I ask where you found them?

    1. Hi Heather! I’m tickled you found me! The light above the dining table is linked at the bottom of the post under room sources. The plate with the gold rim was from Anthropologie and is no longer sold. I’m sorry! I hope that helps! Thank you for following along! I hope you visit often! xo

  4. Randi,

Love this table my friend! The contrast of the black and white tablecloth with the pops of red and pink looks amazing! And can I say, I LOVE the wood heart and decor hanging from the mirror. I would love to come to a girl’s Valentine’s party here!
