Setting a pretty table is one of my favorite ways to celebrate Christmas! I set the table early in the month and leave it up until we have our Christmas dinner there. This year I set an elegant white and gold Christmas table scape that flows with the rest of my Christmas decor. You can see my full Christmas Tour here.
At the end of this post, I’m linking to one of my best friends and amazing designer, Jen from Decor Gold Designs. She is also sharing her Christmas table with us today!
Today I’m sharing all the details to this elegant table that really is so easy to set.
- First I gathered some of my mercury glass candlesticks and set them parading down the center of the table for an impressive centerpiece.
- Next I tucked a cedar garland between the candlesticks.
- Ornaments in varied sizes were placed into the garland and onto the table. I tied some champagne and gold ribbon onto a few for some fun.
- Lastly, a few votive candles were added. I love adding votives to my table. Their romantic glow add such ambiance to a table.

This stunning Caprice tablecloth from Pom Pom at Home is a piece I will have for a lifetime and will pass onto my daughter. The elegant and exquisite lace detail left me speechless when I laid it onto the table.
I added this gorgeous Annabelle throw to one of the head chairs. I love the lace against the tufts on the wingback chair. Texture is so important when you have a neutral room.
The napkins are a light vanilla, ruffled linen. They are creamy and feminine, and simply bring a soft touch to the table. You can find themĀ here, mine are the pearl.
The beautiful Victorian napkin rings made an appearance here and here. They are my favorite napkin rings! I love to mix them with gold.

Thank you so much Jen! You are such an inspiration to me! XO
Your home is beautiful, dripping with many decorating ideas to “borrow”. Absolutely stunning table setting. Do you keep the tall candlesticks up during dinner? Can you see your dinner guests on the other side of the table?
Thank you Cathy! I do remove the candles so guests can chat with an unobstructed view. Wishing you a Happy New Year!!! xo
