I’m a planner. Planning brings me comfort. I usually have my holiday tables set way in advance. I love to enjoy them for more than just a day and it makes me more relaxed the day of celebration to have it already taken care of. This year, I feel behind the 8 ball! With the kitchen remodel {see it here} taking up most of March, I just feel like I’m getting back into the swing of life! Yesterday, I decided to bust it out with the help of my little Jack. He is the last of my five kiddos at home, so I try to involve him in my projects as much as possible. For our table this year I decided to just use things I had around the house and let Jack help me set the perfect pink Easter table.
I say perfect, not because it’s really perfect, but because it worked perfect with what I had laying around my home. The only thing I purchased were the fresh pink roses. No trips to the store + no extra money spent + time with my love bug = The Perfect Pink Easter Table. You can use things you have around your house to set your perfect Easter table too! Just get creative! Let me show you what we came up with…
Shop the table
A few years ago, I bought these mini Easter baskets. They just sat in my craft cupboard waiting for me to use them. I have a fondness for all things mini! You may remember these paper flowers from my, “How to Host a Bake Group,” post awhile back. There were tons left over so I simply wrapped a few of them around each basket handle. Then added some Easter grass and a few chocolate eggs for a sweet treat at each place setting.
Make your own Mini Floral Easter Basket
{I linked items that you can purchase through Amazon Prime to have delivered to your home before Easter!}
If you don’t have mini Easter baskets laying around like me, use any color Easter grass and a few chocolate eggs to create a sweet nest for your place settings. Perfect!
I wrapped some of the paper flowers around your flatware for a fun touch. You need these paper flowers at your house! I love to use them to decorate cupcakes and cakes too.
Clip a few flowers and wrap them around the base of the fork.
I pulled out my favorite pink, ruffled napkins to tie in with the ruffle pink roses I bought.
For the centerpiece:
- Use 3 dozen pink roses
- 3 Large Mason jars
- 3 Metal Baskets {optional}
- Blue food coloring
Simply fill the jars with water and 1 drop of blue food coloring. The water will turn the most beautiful light blue shade. Add the roses to the water. Place jar inside a metal basket. If you don’t have any, don’t worry, they look beautiful just in the jars. I had some in my stash and thought they looked like Easter baskets!
You can make these little bunny treat bags out of white paper lunch sacks.
Now to plan the perfect Easter menu! We always serve ham and coconut cake. What do you have? Happy Easter!!! I hope yours is perfect!
