Let me tell you a little secret… I never used to decorate for Fall! Living in Arizona, it felt like a slap in the face to try to “pretend” it was Fall, when everything around me still screamed Summer! 100 Degree temperatures, green leaves and blooming flowers. Instead, I would skip straight to Halloween decorating. At the start of November, I would style the house a little bit for Thanksgiving, when it actually felt a little more like Fall!
Over the past few years, I had a lightbulb turn on in my head! Fall decor doesn’t have to be oak leaves, hay bales and pine cones. There is no Fall decor police, telling me what is legal in Fall decor! Decorate your home with whatever helps you welcome this glorious new season into your home! Fall in the Arizona valley is beautiful. Last year I embraced that idea in my Fall Home Tour and this year, I really welcomed Fall with the colors that feel like home.
So, welcome to this year’s Fall Home Tour with lots of Fall decorating ideas. I hope this inspires you to think outside the “Fall” box and welcome Fall into your home in your own style! I have also joined a few of my talented friends who are sharing how they are welcoming Fall into their homes. There is a link to their blogs at the end of this post. If you have come over from Erin, My Texas House, welcome! I love Erin and her gorgeous home!

Welcoming Fall Home Tour – Fall Decorating Ideas
Our entry table is styled in classic Randi Garrett Design fashion, with lots of white and gold. This color combination reminds me of the brilliant Arizona sun and the white fluffy clouds we get this time of year.
The creamy white velvet pumpkins are from Hot Skwash. You may remember them from last year’s Fall home tour or Fall table. They are my favorite Fall decorating staple! Fresh white pumpkins are not available in my area until the start of October. So these glamorous pumpkins help me enjoy Fall early!
Daria is the master mind behind Hot Skwash. You will see her pumpkins scattered throughout my home. Each one is unique. The stems are all real pumpkin stems oozing with character and charm. She adds special touches to each of them. Feathers, lace, crystals and more. All the larger pumpkins are signed by her – in gold {even more glamorous}, making them a special piece of art for your home.
If you have something special in mind, she takes custom orders! She also creates specialty pumpkins that are one-of-a kind pieces. They are added to her site monthly. You can get some for your home from her Hot Skwash website.
On our garage entry table, I used more of the Hot Skwash pumpkins from last year’s harvest. Faux olive branches are tucked under to add a pop of green and soften the look. Did you know olive trees grow really well here in Arizona?
In the kitchen I choose the colors of the Arizona Fall sky – soft blues, pinks and creams. Many of you ask what flower you should use for Fall decorating. I LOVE to use hydrangeas. Use both fresh and faux to trick the eye and to enjoy them all season long.
Flanking my stove are these fabulous blush ginger jars from Shop Lo Home. You guys I have searched high and low, near and far for over a year to find pink ginger jars! When I found Lauren Haskell on Instagram and saw she had PINK GINGER JARS, I think I fell off my chair! I was SO excited! Not only does she have pink, she has tons of beautiful pastel colored ginger jars to choose from. They come in 3 sizes. Larger, medium {those are next to my stove}, and a baby one.
They are hand poured in Tulsa, Oklahoma! Which I love. You can get some to add to your collection here.
I can’t wait to mix them in with my blue and white pieces! My pink ginger jars are filled with faux white hydrangeas and the blue and white floral planters are filled with faux blue hydrangeas and faux thistle.

Large Blush Ginger Jar | 10″ Bubble Vase | Gold Marble Tray | Blue Velvet Pumpkin {Hot Skwash} | Faux Thistle {hydrangeas are fresh}
Soft pinks and blues are repeated in the family room. The mantel features blue, blush and ivory velvet pumpkins, dusty miller, eucalyptus, thistle, and garden roses {all faux}. You can get the exact pumpkins I used on Hot Skwash. For a scaled back look, you can get the same look by using only a few pumpkins.
To recreate this look
- Add pumpkins to the mantel
- Tuck in greenery { I used 5 dusty miller stems & 2 eucalyptus}
- Nestle some thistle into the greenery and around pumpkins {I used 2 trimmed thistle stems}
- Clip a few roses off the large stem and tuck them into the pumpkins { I used 2 rose stems and 3 garden roses}
Pillows can help change the mood of your room so easily! I love to purchase pillow covers that I can slip on easily over my pillow forms. This allows me to store ones I’m not using without taking up a ton of space.
This Fall I chose these denim antelope pillow covers from Willa Skye Home Designs. I used their regular antelope ones in our upstairs family game room!
To soften the blue, I added some blush velvet pillows to the couch and chairs. These blush striped velvet pillows and solid blush velvet pillows are so soft and luxurious! I loved the Addison Print Pillows from our upstairs game room so much, I used them in the 24″ size on our couch! All of the pillows are 24″. I love how cozy they make the room feel. Many of you ask where I get my pillow inserts. These are my favorite pillow inserts.
Throws are also a great way to add warmth and color to your home. I used this light weight indigo throw and this luxurious fur throw on my sofas. On my club chair I have this soft knit pom pom throw.

In our bedroom, I kept things in the tones of pale pink and lots of creamy white. The bedding is sourced for you below. I added a fur throw to cozy up the bed for Fall.
The special blush pumpkin was a Hot Skwash original pumpkin. I told Daria what I wanted for my bedroom and she created it for me! It’s everything I love in decor – blush, velvet, sparkle and feminine glam!

How beautiful! I love every single room! And that blush pumpkin with the tiny white flowers is stunning!!! Can’t wait to see more of your tablescape. xoxo
Thank you Jen! That pumpkin is my favorite! Daria is a master pumpkin creator!!! I am so excited to show the table next week! xo
Thank you so much for this beautiful post! I crave nontraditional fall décor and am so bored and uninspired with the traditional oranges, golds and rusts. You have inspiried me!
Hi Margaret! Thank you for your sweet comment! I am so glad you liked my spin on Fall! I feels like home and Fall in Arizona! Have a lovely day! xo
Randi,
Everything is beautiful. I love how you have pumpkins everywhere. Can you tell me where you got the GORGEOUS tablecloth on the dining room table? Thanks so much Susan
Hi Susan! Thank you so much! The tablecloths is by Pom Pom at Home. They don’t sell it anymore. I am so sorry! It is seriously the most beautiful tablecloth I’ve ever seen!
OMG Randy, your home is a dream!! Love the colors, the jars, the pumpkins, everything!! Beautiful!! xoxo
Oh thank you so much Vesna! I am so happy you liked everything! Have a wonderful day! xo
Beautiful styling, as usual. A soft whisper of fall, and so attractive!
We are so hot here in the SE I have gone with sweetmeat squash and white pumpkins, eucalyptus and pinecones to tone down our fall decor. I love orange, rust and purples, but not when surrounded by green leaves and 95 degrees.
Jae thank you! Oh that sounds beautiful! Yes! We have to decorate to our surroundings or it’s torture! Have a great day! xo
Really pretty and looks very high end. The thing I love about the pumpkins is the rustic stems that make all the difference.
For some reason I though you lived in South Florida. Oops.
Myrna, thank you for your sweet comment! I sometimes I wish I lived in South Florida! Ha Ha! Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful night! xo
Your whole house is soft. I love all the white and gold with touches of the softest pink. It’s glamorous but livable at the same time. I must figure out how to slowly transition from pale taupe and creams to white and from bronze to gold.
Your pumpkins are fun! I love how you went with lots on your mantel and entrance table. It really makes a statement!
I got away from decorating with the typical fall and Christmas colors several years ago, instead opting for white & gold for Christmas and glass pumpkins in muted whites and creams for fall. I love the little white baby boos in footed bowls, too.
Joanna, what a sweetheart you are! Thank you so much for your comment and for brightening my day with your tender words. Wishing you a lovely day! xo
I absolutely love this Randi! I love the non-traditional fall color palette! Your home is so dreamy!
Thank you so much Erin! This was such a fun Fall Tour! xo
Your fall tour is a soft and magical dreamscape. Every room is pure loveliness. The details are exquisite from the velvets, feathers, crystals and appliqué to the handmade lace and touches of gold leaf. Beautiful layers upon layers. Your home is a work of art!
Linda thank you! You are a real sweetheart! Wishing you a fabulous weekend! xo
Wow Randi, soooo beautiful!!!! Love all the beautiful colors you used this year!!
Nancy, thank you so much! xo
Your Fall home tour is just stunning! Bringing in Fall elements to a warm climate home can be tricky but you nailed it. Those soft velvet pumpkins in subtle colors say Fall but not in a traditional orange and rust kind of way. I love more non-traditional colors for Fall décor as well so your colors were right up my alley.
I am lost for words at the beautiful way you always design for each season in your home.
Here in Australia we don’t call it fall, it’s just Autumn and we really don’t traditionally decorate our homes for each season mostly only Easter and Christmas.
I love that we now have our beautiful American friends to follow so we can create these places of paradise .
Your touches Randi are so feminine and elegant and you have already inspired a few rooms in my home.
I am always in awe of your magical creations and your spin on fall this year is no exception.
Thank you for always sharing and inspiring. Like I’ve always said THE most beautiful home I have ever seen!!!!!
Tiffany! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your sweet, kind words! You have no idea what they mean! xo
Randi, I am in awe of your home. Everything is stunning! The spaces are so warm, cozy, and inviting. I love the way your play with different textures throughout each room, it makes me want to reach through my computer and touch everything! Those velvet pumpkins in blush and navy are striking. It is such an unexpected fall duo and it works so well for the spaces. I found your blog through The Lily Pad cottage and girl, I am so excited to see what you have in store for Christmas. Thanks again for sharing your home and happy fall!
Lauren, thank you so so much for your sweet message! I am so happy you found me! I love Kelly! xo
