Hey everyone! Welcome to our Styled for Spring Home Tour – Part 2! Today, 8 design bloggers and I are sharing ways you can style your living room, dining room and bedroom for spring! If you’re popping over from my sweet friend Emily from Eleven Gables, welcome! I hope you will look around awhile and come back often.
Last week we shared how to style your porch, entryway and kitchen. You can see it here.
Spring time is such a great time to refresh and rejuvenate your home. I remember my Great Grandma telling me she would spring clean in a way us young kid’s couldn’t imagine! She would wipe down every wall, window sill, every nook and cranny of her home. I feel refreshed by simply swapping out my bedding!
Refreshing your home for spring really can be as simple as changing out your linens and adding a few new elements like fresh flowers and accessories.
Our master bedroom is very neutral, so to achieve a fresh look for a new season, I rely on pattern and texture. If your room has neutral bedding, it is SO easy to give it a totally new look with a few pillows with pattern and color. No matter what your style is, a room with neutral bones, is timeless and transformable.
Here is a tour of our master restyled for spring and 2 tips to help you refresh your room for spring {this post contains links to affiliate links for your convenience}…
Using lace and ruffles creates interest in our neutral schemed bedroom. The cream, lace pillowcases (found here) are really special. You can give them a totally different look by layering a colored pillowcase underneath. They are probably my favorite bedding piece I own!
Don’t be afraid to layer ruffles. The sheets have a mini ruffle and the duvet a large. The layers look gorgeous. If you live in an area where the spring nights are warm, you can put a light weight blanket inside your duvet instead of a feather duvet.
The matching lace detail on the is stunning. Simply stunning.
This ruffled body pillow gives the bench a bright, soft change for spring.
- To give your bedroom a fresh spring feel, select bedding that is light and bright. Whether it is neutral like mine or full of pattern and color, you can transform your space by simply trading out heavier fabrics and patterns from the winter and switching to something lighter.
- For spring, I like to use lots of bedding made with linen. Linen is a lighter weight, perfect for warmer spring nights. It gets softer as you wash it and lasts for years.
- Lace and ruffles are all the rage in fashion right now, so I thought it would be fun to incorporate them into my bedroom this season. Fashion trends are a great place to look for design inspiration,
- My favorite place to look for bed linens with impeccable quality and texture is Pom Pom at Home . They are a family run company with the most exquisite, heirloom linens. You may recognize their name from my Thanksgiving and Christmas posts. All the linens for our spring refresh are from their lines and are listed at the end of this post.
Try using tablecloths for throws this spring. I used this lace table cloth and white ruffled one I already had tucked away in the linen closet.
- My favorite way to brighten a room is always with fresh flowers. Today, with so many amazing faux floral options you may consider using a few faux flowers mixed with some fresh flowers to get more bang for your buck. I wrote a whole post last spring about faux vs fresh flowers here.
- Shop for fun vases to hold your fresh or faux flowers. A few of my favorite are sourced below
- Use citrus scented candles to help your space smell more like spring. These peach colored candles with a fruity scent fill our room with the aromas of a citrus grove!
- Style small tables and tray with spring elements.
Give your bedroom a fresh, styled for spring look this season by using some of these tips!
