Fashion Friday – Summer Purse Essentials

Usually I take you inside my home to share my love of design. Today I want to take you inside my home away from home, the home I carry with me wherever I go… my purse!

Your home is a reflection of your personality, so is your purse. Whether you’re a purse enthusiast switching them out on a regular basis or a loyal to one purse kind of gal, your purse provides fashion and function.

The things I put inside my purse have function, style and usually some meaning, much like the items in my home.  I want to share  with you what I have collected for my purse to inspire you to add some personality to the inside of your home away from home.

Here’s a quick peek at all the contents of my purse, before we take a look at each one.

I change my wallet out next to never! So I choose mine very carefully. This black leather, zipper wallet from Henri Bendle is timeless, classy and goes with everything! You can also have it monogrammed to make it even more classy. I’ve had this one for a few years and still love it.

A cute phone case is like jewelry for your phone! Someone got smart and designed the not so glamorous phone battery charger to look fashionable. Well done, smart battery designer person!!!

I’m that girl whose favorite pair of sunglasses came from a gas station. My husband finally convinced me that since we live in the land of the sun, I needed to invest in a good pair of glasses. I’m going to pass that nugget of info onto you. Invest in a nice pair, protect your eyes and then take good care of them by following this rule… from face to case. Always keep them in a case when you aren’t wearing them they will last so much longer.

I’m a sucker for small, cute containers. When I saw this baby pink ring box topped with a bow, it was love! I removed the ring cushion inside and placed my earphones inside for summer trips. It is also sentimental because I picked it up on a special trip with some family.

The striped card holder houses my license and debit card, for easy access while going through airport security and for day trips when I don’t want to lug around my whole wallet.

Every girls needs a little cosmetic bag to hold all of those girly essentials while out and about. This pale pink, quilted bag holds everything and is my favorite color combination, pink and gold.

Some of my favorite things tucked inside are, my favorite summer lipstick {you can read about it here}, lipgloss, a roller perfume {to freshen up on trips}, and a small mirrored compact. My compact was a gift from my sister in law who is a make up genius!

Tassels are all the rage this season. Hello leopard keychain tassel! Welcome home! These are handmade by a company on the east coast. I absolutely love them. You can use them as a keychain or charm for your purse. Speaking of purse charms, fur poufs are a hot accessory for your purse this season too.
