Glam Halloween Mantel – Queen of Halloween

Dressing up for Halloween is one of the most fun things about this season. Dressing our houses rivals for the most fun! This year I am combining the two and dressing up our normal Halloween decorations! I like to choose a theme when I decorate. It helps me keep things cohesive and edited. My themes usually come from some sort of inspiration. I was shopping for some Fall decor and came across some gorgeous gold crowns. The wheels started turning in my head. What if I used crowns to glam up my Halloween this year? The saying, “Queen of Halloween”, popped into my head. “That’s it,” I thought! The Queen of Halloween became my inspiration and theme for this year’s Halloween.

Use a few accessories to dress up your classic Halloween decorations and give them a glam, elegant spin.

Here is how I used crowns, gold accessories, velvet and feathers to create a glam Halloween mantel with the theme, Queen of Halloween!

Glam Pumpkin Details

In front of the fireplace sits a group of very special one of a kind specialty pumpkins designed by Daria of Hot Skwash. She is the master creator behind these pumpkins and the pumpkins I used in my Fall Home Tour and Pink Fall table. They took my breath away when I unwrapped them from the packaging. The exquisite details of lace and feathered wire vines dress up these pumpkins in the most elaborate costumes.

Mantel Details

The glam mantel is adorned with more velvet, beaded, lace, sequin and feathered pumpkins. Use texture to create an opulent feeling without adding color or pattern. Mix in an unexpected element with a gold metal leaf vine.

Tuck it into the pumpkins and let it drape loosely, adding a touch of whimsy.

Leave the mantel just this way and you can enjoy it through the entire Fall season. Take the glam mantel to a whole other level by simply adding one thing… SPIDERS! Use spiders with double sided stick dots {in the scrapbook section of your craft store} to take the mantel from glam Fall to glam Halloween.

Here’s a little tip to help you keep your rooms looking fresh without having to spend any money! Move pieces from one room of your home to another. This velvet bench is from my master bedroom. It glams up the room so I borrowed it!

Use a soft, luxurious throw to warm up the bench. This cream throw is a great deal and is my kid’s absolute favorite throw. We have them in 3 different colors and one for each of our kids as snuggle blankets for movie night!

Coffee Table Details

The coffee table got dressed up with a gold lucite tray. Candelabras are a quintessential accessory for Halloween. This modern take on a gold candelabra gives it a more glam feel.

Add a crown to any pumpkin fresh or faux to make her The Queen of Halloween! I love this simple way to dress up this classic Halloween staple. It’s such an easy way to turn Halloween from ordinary to extraordinary.
